I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 and for a couple of weeks, the sound through the built in speakers worked well. Then along comes an update that left me with no sound at all. I contacted Microsoft, they worked on my machine over the phone and left me with partial sound. Some apps/programs work okayw, but several apps only give off a series off buzzes instead of the expected sound. According to the device manager, all sound devices are working and drivers are up to date. I have run the diagnostic tool for audio in Windows 10 - no help. I went on HP's website and ran through all items in the audio troubleshooter - again nothing helped. The website listed the number 800-724-8600 for a pay per incident support number, it has been disconnected or changed and no one bothered to update the website. I am a little frustrated at this point and hoping that someone who reads this post can help. Thank you for whatever help you can offer.
