- Run HP Audio Check
Use the HP Support Assistant to run an audio diagnostic:- Open HP Support Assistant (install it from HP Support Assistant | HP® Support if not already installed).
- Go to Fixes & Diagnostics > Audio Check.
- Follow the prompts and test the audio.
- Use Windows Troubleshooter
- Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar.
- Select Troubleshoot sound problems.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Check Sound Settings
- Go to Settings > System > Sound.
- Ensure the correct output device is selected.
- Test the volume and balance settings.
- Update Audio Drivers
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click your audio device and select Update driver.
