If the power button on your HP Pavilion Gaming 15-BS003NI is broken, you can try turning it on by enabling "Instant Boot" or "Quick Boot" in the BIOS and plugging in the power adapter, or by using the keyboard to wake it from sleep.
Here's a breakdown of the options:
BIOS/UEFI Settings:
- Access the BIOS/UEFI: Restart your laptop and repeatedly press the key that opens the BIOS/UEFI (usually F2, F10, F12, or Del) during startup. The key will be displayed on the screen during the boot process.
- Find "Instant Boot" or "Quick Boot": Navigate to the power or boot settings within the BIOS/UEFI.
- Enable the option: Enable the "Instant Boot" or "Quick Boot" feature. This allows the laptop to turn on when AC power is connected, even without pressing the power button.
Wake from Sleep with Keyboard:
- Check Device Manager: Ensure the keyboard's power management settings in Device Manager allow it to wake the computer.
- Put the laptop to sleep: When not in use, put the laptop to sleep instead of shutting it down.
- Wake with keyboard: Press any key on the keyboard to wake the laptop from sleep.
