i've had problems with my computer for months now. i used to exploit on and it **bleep**ed it up so i got a virus (very normal) but now when i get back on it i've tried everything to get back in and it says something about a boot device not found? what do i do. help

@renae7 -- the motherboard cannot connect to the disk-drive. Possibilities:
- dead disk-drive
- data or power cables no longer connected to the disk-drive
- BIOS SETUP has been configured to "ignore" the specific SATA port
When you power-on the computer, do you get an option to run the HP Hardware Diagnostics?
If so, run the "short DST" (short number of minutes disk-drive status test).
If it fails, the disk-drive needs to be replaced.
