Another 3F0 failure even after swapping in a known working drive. Both drives occasionally work for 5 minutes to 5 hours then the system reboots sometimes to Windows sometimes to 3F0. Can I get a drive controller for this system or do I need a new system board? No HP warranty, but since I bought it with AMEX I have another year of warranty. This is a disappointing situation especially since this PC is a only out of warranty since 07.19

Hi
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat; Re-Connect the AC adapter.

NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.
Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

Post the 24 character error code please.

I went through the testing and the system reported a warning for the drive with the DST. I booted the system back into Windows 10, but it self rebooted after 20 minutes or so. Now it is back to 3FO. I replaced the drive with a previously working drive and still get 3FO.

Hi

If that is the case then the fault would seem to be common to the connector and/or Main Board.

Yeah and probably a good reason not to patronize HP any longer. This system was too expensive to require repair so soon after warranty let alone just fix for a failure like this. Thanks for the help.
