I went and cleaned the fan and reassmbled the computer. When I restarted I got the Boot Device Not Found error (3f0) error. I went into the BIOS and got a Disk Not Exist for the Primary Drive. The Secondary is seen. When I swap out the hard drives the same thing happens. I can test both drives - only as Secondary. I am assuming that because the Primary drive is not recognized then there must be a problem with the cable. Is there a way to test for this?

I have solved the problem. I thoight I read that the cable for the Secondary HD could not be used on the Primary. However, I went and put the the 1st HDD in the Secondary slot, attached the cable to HDD 1 slot on the board and the computer booted up. I have ordered a shorter Primary cable and will swap back when I get it.
Thanks

Did you mean to identify your notebook as an pavilion dv7t-6000 instead of pavilion dv7t-600?
Is it the AMD or the Intel version?
The Dv7t-6000 is a CTO(Configured to order) notebook. What is the configuration of yours?
Did you follow the remove/relkace videos? See the links below. The difference in the Dv7t-6000 is just the touchscreen. Otherwise it should be identical to the Dv7-6000.

Your notebook is not close enough to the current generation to have the UEFI Hardware Diagnostics utility.
Inspect the connector on the cable and at the system board with a magnifying glass to see if there are any issues.
