my pavilion is blinking 5 long and 3 short, i have tried reseating the ram trying the stick one at a time in different slots and the code persists, the laptops screen is remaining black i have tried plugging in a external display and notjimg displayed, the monitor didnt even get a signal if possible i would like to know why this is happpening and how to fix it

How did this happen?

  • Power surge?
  • Add memory or install new device?
  • BIOS update that went wrong?
  • Windows update that failed?



Try a hard reset (click url below for how to do a reset)

The 5 + 3 is not a memory problem unfortunately.
