8770W
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a 8700W with Windows 11 Installed and want to use UEFI interface with GPT format. I set by BIOS for UEFI and converted my disk to GPT. Now my laptop will not boot. Any suggestions? TIA

The only suggestion I can offer would be to clean install W11 by booting the installation media from the EFI USB flash drive.

Use the free Rufus utility to create a flash drive that will bypass the W11 hardware checks if you did not upgrade from W10>W11 using Rufus.

Thank You for the information. I believe the  8770W will not support UEFI. When I select it in by bios it states it is only for development purposes? Is this correct? TIA

You're very welcome.

I don't know what that statement means.

You can try booting the installation media from the EFI USB flash drive and see if it will work.

If your notebook doesn't have two lists of bootable devices--legacy and UEFI, then having a UEFI BIOS is pretty meaningless.
