HP elitebook

He wants to boot windows 10 pro from a USB on an HP EliteBook. Is it better to format the drive to UEFI or BIOS (uefi-CSM). I assume the that doesn't matter as much as the File System, in which case, is it better to format that as NTFS or FAT32?

Oddly enough, Rufus seems to only offer FAT32 for UEFI and not for BIOS (uefi-CSM). Seems backwards to me, since FAT32/BIOS are the older versions.

Setup the Rufus utility the way you see it on their site at the link below.

 

Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way

 

You don't need to make any changes, if that is how it is showing up when you launch the utility.

 

This should work on any Elitebook G1 and up as those should support UEFI/GPT and secure boot.
