HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab127ca (Touch) (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I got ACPI BIOS ERROR error code on Blue screen. It keeps Preparing Automatic Repair  then Restart looping. I tried to download softpadXXXXXX.exe, provided by HP support advisor, but could not create CloudRecovery tool. I also  created Window10 Installation Boot media on USB , but the Laptop could not boot from USB either, same Error on Blue screen.

@Tue22,

See this thread for a solution for an ACPI BIOS error.

Solved: Re: Cannot find 15-ab114tx Bios file - HP Support Community - 9440252

You need to enter F10 BIOS settings -> Security menu -> TPM setting -> change it from Available to Hidden -> save and exit to restart.

Thank you!

It is working. Window10 loaded after HP disc repairing completed

1. What shall I do next?

2. Should I go back to F10 Bios setting and change TPM back to Available or leave as Hidden?

I found some explanation on from HP community forum:

"setting the ACPI to hidden prevents the windows OS from seeing the ACPI hardware as such there is no missing ACPI driver and it's the missing ACPI driver that is causing the windows OS to not boot into windows

for a driver, either wait for HP to resolve or contact HP support and open a case telling them the problem and the workaround i posted or locate one yourself by determining the ACPI device's hardware ID and searching for that ID's driver it's most likely that it's already available from another HP Laptop model or another laptop maker's laptop"

My question is How do I determine the ACPI device 's hardware ID that missing driver?

Thanks to all for reply

HP withdrew drivers support for 15-ab1xx models a while ago, as they reached the end of the support life.

I don't believe HP will do anything to update drivers for retired models.

Basically, TPM 2.0 is for BitLocker drive encryption and Windows Hello (facial recognition and others). Your notebook doesn't have those features, so the disabled TPM doesn't cause any issues.

If you ask HP for support, they most likely ask you for $$$ upfront. So just leave the TPM turned off, and it doesn't create any issue for you.

Thanks again for your comments!

I went to check at Device manager --> Systems & Other , but I couldn't find any hardware with corrupted drivers

So It looked like it is safe for now using the laptop until getting new one  🙂
