Hi,
I have a HP PRoBook 650 G2.
I was resizing my partations and mistakenly changed my C drive as active partition. Now I can't boot my windows.
I tried several option but can not enter the bios without bios password. booting from an usb is also not possible.
I have googled the problem and found that i need a SMC.bin file. Is their an other way like can't I just type in a default admin bios password?
Thanks for helping.
Kind regards,
Ismailalk

Hi,
Unfortunately, there are no default passwords.
For this Model, other than replacing the bios chip, your only option is to Contact HP Business support and request SMC.bin file.
You can contact HP Business Support in your country via
http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html
or
https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
Just to note, if you do intend to go the HP route, don't try removing the rtc battery. It won't remove the password, but it will reset the clock - as smc files are time coded, a large disparity between the system clock and the time encoded in the smc will cause it to fail.
