Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All,

Currently am running into an issue on a buddy's laptop.

We are attempting to install a SSD into the computer and do a fresh install of Windows 10. However, while attempting to boot from the USB, I changed the BIOS into Legacy Mode with Secure Boot turned off. When I press F10 to save and exit, I know that normally after exiting the BIOS with saving changes HP laptops pop up with a save changes code, which is something that I have not seen on this computer.

I have already swapped the RAM, CMOS Battery, Unplugged the Battery and tried a new SSD.

Any help would be appreciated!

@diefncy

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue.
I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue, the HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
