Hi:
Unless you have installed W10 in EFI mode, do not update the BIOS to v2.29 or it will take over two minutes for the PC to restart unless you go into the security menu and hide the TPM device.
Besides, the latest BIOS is v2.33 now.
What I recommend you do if you did not install W10 in EFI mode would be to update the BIOS to v2.28.
You can find all of the BIOS updates on the support page under the Windows 7 driver section.
2.33 will be listed. Click on the Previous versions below that to find the older updates.
The support page detects you are running W10, so it opens with this message...
We were unable to find drivers for your product.
Just above and slightly to the left of that message are two links to click on.
Choose a Different product series
Choose a Different OS.
Click in the choose a different OS link, and a window will open.
On the left side, select Windows. On the right side, select W7 64 bit.

DO NOT use the Windows based BIOS update method since the HPQ Windows update flash was written to be run in W7.
What you do is this...if you installed W10 in EFI mode, download v2.33 and run the exe file. If you did not install W10 in EFI mode, download v2.28 and run the exe file.
An info page will open with several ways to update the BIOS.
Read the info under the F10 Setup BIOS flash method.
At the bottom of that section will be a link to click on...View Contents of DOS Flash Folder.
Click on that link and you will see the BIOS update files listed.
Get a USB flash drive. Format it with the FAT32 file system.
Copy the files in that DOS flash folder to your USB flash drive. Just the files, not the folder itself.
Restart the PC.
Press/Tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.
Select the F10 setup option and press the Enter key.
Select the File tab>Flash System ROM command.
Select USB flash drive.
The PC should now 'see' the BIOS update files on the flash drive.
Follow the on screen instructions to update the BIOS.
