Hi, I'm planning to do a BIOS Update, but I have a question. So, I click update, and my notebook is connected to power. When the power stops, the AC disconnects and the battery power gets used. Will the BIOS Update stop and get corrupted or will the BIOS Update run on battery power until it comes back (usually 10-15 seconds)?

Hello
unless I am mistaken, it seems to me that it is advisable to do it strictly, on power, and not battery!
If it happens by accident, it's hard to be sure that it won't be a problem.
Updates sometimes go very badly, even on mains only
So only do this if you really need to, and you're pretty sure you won't get a power outage during this update.

Oh, so it will get corrupted if it changes to battery?

I can't tell you otherwise
in any case, there is a risk of updating the bios
you can see many users, for whom it went wrong here..
And sometimes you can't go back

And just this :

Provides enhanced security. NOTE: HP strongly recommends promptly transitioning to this updated BIOS version which supersedes all previous releases.

There are no great indications for this one.

I do not oblige you to anything, but I prefer to point out to you that it is risky
