Subject: Request for BIOS Update with Corrected AMD fTPM Firmware

Body:  Hello HP Support Team,

I am experiencing persistent TPM attestation failures on my HP notebook with the 887A motherboard and AMD Ryzen 5500U SoC. My current TPM manufacturer version is 3.92.0.5, which is known to fail attestation checks.

I have already updated to BIOS F.38 Rev.A, but the TPM firmware did not update beyond 3.92.0.5. According to AMD’s advisory (PA‑420, June 2025), the corrected fTPM firmware should be version 3.96.x or later to resolve attestation issues.

Could you please confirm if a BIOS release containing the updated AMD fTPM firmware is available for my system, or provide guidance on when such an update will be released?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,

Saksham Singh

Hi @1_SakshamSingh

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand your concern regarding the TPM attestation issue. At this time, you will need to wait until HP publishes a BIOS update that includes the updated AMD fTPM firmware for your system. I will also submit this as feedback to the appropriate team so that your request for an updated BIOS/fTPM version can be taken into consideration for future releases.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
