Hello
Need BIOS file for DV7-3112eo (WA163EA). It is no longer available on your website.
Background
Windows does not start and the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys blink 2 times. The screen is black.
Found this information (Link):
I tried recovering the BIOS. Press and hold the Windows key and the B key at the same time, and then press and hold the Power button for 2 to 3 seconds. something happened but it didn't help. (May be because the hard drive is replaced due to the old crashed. Has also installed a newer operating system.)
Next to try is to "Create a USB recovery drive". But the BIOS file for DV7-3112eo (WA163EA) is no longer available on your website.
How do I get the file?
Best regards
Tobbe

Hi:
HP retires support for PC's that are more than 10 years old.
From what I could find on the internet, your notebook has an AMD processor and chipset.
This should be the BIOS file you need for your model...
Info file:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47501-48000/sp47531.html
Exe file:

Hi
sp47531 is a WinFlash, (The WinFlash Utility is used to locally flash the system BIOS (ROM) on notebooks operating in a Microsoft Windows Operating System environment.)
I need to create a "USB recovery drive for the BIOS" with another computer. For the computer does not boot.

All BIOS files for HP dv7 consumer notebooks are windows based flash files.
There are no others.
Somehow you will have to figure out how to make it work, if it is even possible.
You can use the free 7-zip file utility to extract the exe file into its folder, which contains the actual BIOS files.
After you install 7-zip, right click on the BIOS file you downloaded, have 7-Zip extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name (sp47531).
Then use 7-zip again inside that folder to extract the files out of the winflash file inside.
You will find the 3635F13 FD (BIOS update) file in there.
