Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Laptop is not booting - black screen, flashing CAPS Key and Wireless key  - I am informed this is a BIOS problem.

HP Support website tells me my laptop is a Retired Product - no BIOS download available.

I don't believe that you can do anything with the BIOS file outside of running it in Windows.

 

FWIW, below is the link to the last BIOS update file HP released for notebooks in the dv6-3100 model series that come with AMD processors:
