Hello. Faced a problem on an HP EliteBook 8740p laptop / It has a bios password that I can’t remove. That just did not try. I was told that there is an opportunity through the technical support service to get the smc.bin file which, through a USB flash, will remove the password from the BIOS. Those who support my country cannot help me. Hope for you. Waiting for an answer)

No one has touched the BIOS password since the moment of purchase in the store. They cannot help me in my region. Why default BIOS passwords on which there are not even engineering passwords. Why should I spend my money now if I'm not involved in setting a password?

Did this BIOS password issue happen to arise when a BIOS update was performed?
