Hi. I have the BIOS version F.32 and would like to upgrade it mainly to have the option enabling the selection of HD grafics video. May I use the version available for Windows 7 as Windows 10 does not update the BIOS? Any suggestion? Thanks!

Hi there @clvaccaro,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. I understand that you have questions about updates. I will be glad to help you.
Please post the full product number of your computer. See the following, if you need help with that information.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
The only BOIS versions are windows 7. Any other hardware drivers are supplied by Microsoft.
Running Windows Update in Windows 10
- Connect to the Internet.
- In Windows, search for and open Windows Update settings.
- If updates are not listed in the Windows Update window, a Your device is up to date message displays, along with the date that Windows last checked for updates. If you want to see if any updates became available since Windows last checked, click Check for updates.Figure : Clicking Check for updates
- If updates are available, the Windows Update windows lists the updates, downloads them, and shows the progress.Figure : Windows Update windowWhen the downloads are complete, your computer may need to be restarted. You can schedule a restart time in the Windows Update window, or you can click Restart now to restart your computer now.
note:
Make sure your computer is plugged in at the scheduled time.Figure : Clicking Restart now

Dear Tardis40,
thanks for your help.
1) My product number is XF279EA#ABZ.
2) Windows 10 is updated regularly, at the moment I am writing this post "there are no update available".
3) System BIOS firmware version currently installed is the "F.32".
4) A latest Update release F.48 seems to be available at this link http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-g62-b00-notebook-pc-series/4247533/model/4301488#... link is active only if Windows 7 is selected as OS (and is not availble for Windows 10)
My question is: May I install that BIOS update indicated for Windows 7 on my laptop running with Windows 10 ?
Hope I have clarified.
Thanks for your time and help. Ciao

Hi @clvaccaro,
Thanks for getting back to me with product number.
The BIOS is the computer start up firmware so I would install the latest BIOS release F.48.
There is no drivers for Windows 10 for this computer, so all driver update are from Microsoft.
I hope this helps.

Tardis40 -
You need to READ the OP's question.
He is saying that he wants to update the BIOS but he doesn't see an update available for people running Windows 10 - So what is he to do?
Can he use the update for Windows 7 to update his Windows 10 BIOS?
