Pavilion dm3-2015er
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

I have HP Pavilion dm3-2015er.

My current BIOS version is F 15.

I have downloaded the softpaq from HP website with F28 A BIOS (several years ago, in 2013).

But I canot update it.

I used Win 8 64bit  and Win7. I tried also to do it via UEFI diagnostic tool.

Unfortunately, your notebook is way outside of its expected life cycle.

What that means for me is that I can't find any information or drivers/software on the official HP websites for your notebook.

At this point I recommend that you do not update the BIOS.The Winflash version of the update is the only one that is likely to work.

It is suggested that you make a backup of the current BIOS version before attempting an update.

If there is a glitch while attempting to update the BIOS, the notebook may become a brick.

You may not want to hear the following, but I would be remiss if I did not state it.

It may be time to source a more modern notebook if your current one no longer suits your needs or desired operating

system.
