I saw an update for my laptop in the Windows Update center. During the update, the laptop got stuck in a boot loop. When it boots, it says, "Please wait while we install system update". After, it goes to a white screen and says that the Bios update failed, then it proceeds to boot loop until I power down.

 

Update: I solved the problem! I stumbled onto this post which suggested on rebooting the device, and pressing F11 repeatedly until the Blue System Recovery screen shows up. I clicked continue. This solved the error with the BIOS update failing. However, at this point, the computer would boot to a black screen with the HP logo, saying, "please wait while we install updates", then reboot into a bootloop. I then found this post, which instructs you to restore the BIOS. I got the computer back up from there and ran the usual Windows updates.
