Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I know HP to be customer focussed and industry leaders in computing technology, so I'm confident this should be a quick fix or replacement.

Been having intermittent bios issues, where, without warning the laptop will say it is doing a bios update and then will proceed to show a black screen with the fan going at 100%. Left it like this for over 2 hours before trying to power cycle the laptop. Only after a few reboot attempts could I get it to start again.

Incredibly frustrating as this happens with no regularity. This particular instance was the final straw for me, as I was trying to use my laptop for some time-critical work and it wasn't operational when I needed to rely on it. Hoping for some sort of resolution because it is important to me, to have a laptop that I can rely on to work when I need it to.
