Spectre 360 13-4001DX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Issue: There was bios password. In bootloader menu I went to security options, under password on the enable press enter to change status. I entered my old password and then since no other options were provided I tried to leave password blank to remove (In the new password prompt I just hit enter). Now when I boot it still asks for password but when I press "Enter" it will not do anything. I can't get past the bios password prompt.

SOLVED!

DO NOT GIVE ANY MONEY TO HP IF YOU ARE IN THIS SITUATION AND THIS IS YOUR COMPUTER. THEY WILL WANT YOU TO SEND IT IN TO A TECHNICIAN FOR AN EXHORBITANT AMOUNT OF MONEY.

WARNING: THIS WILL POTENTIALLY ERASE ALL YOUR FILES (I had a clean install so I'm not sure)

TOOK 1 MINUTE TO FIX:

shutdown computer

press and hold the Windows Key and the "B" key

while still holding those keys turn on your computer

BOOM!

I tried the Windows + B key, and all that I get is a completely black screen, and the fan runs at full speed.  I have an HP Elitebook/Ultrabook 850, Core i5, with docking station.  It is the laptop I bought from my former employer after using it for four years, and for some reason it still has a Bios password.  Would also love to know how to get around this, since my employer is no longer available.
