I had faced bios update failed problem so hp support installed latest bios from hp support website..since then my ssd is not been detected and even I am unable to perform hp cloud recovery. Initially I had insyde f10 bios and system worked fine ..but after upgrading to insyde f15 I am facing this issue. Is their any chance to rollback to insyde f10 bios

Hi @amaravadichandu,

If after a BIOS update your SSD is not being detected and you are facing issues with HP Cloud Recovery, it might be due to settings changes during the BIOS update process. Here's how you might address the issue:

  1. Check BIOS Settings:

    • Enter the BIOS Setup by restarting the computer and repeatedly pressing F10 (or the appropriate key for your system) as it powers on.
    • Navigate to the storage settings and ensure that the SATA configuration is set to the correct mode (AHCI or RAID, depending on your initial configuration).
    • Check if the SSD is recognized in the BIOS.
  2. Restore BIOS Defaults:

    • Inside the BIOS, you can often find an option to "Load Setup Defaults" or "Restore Defaults". This option can sometimes resolve detection issues by resetting the BIOS settings to a known good state.
  3. BIOS Recovery:

    • Some HP systems support a BIOS recovery feature. Refer to the HP support documentation for instructions on performing a BIOS recovery, which might allow you to re-flash the BIOS or revert changes.
  4. Attempt to Rollback BIOS:

    • In some cases, rolling back the BIOS might be possible, but not all systems support it. If support for rollback exists, it will usually be present in the BIOS settings or via a BIOS recovery process.
