Hello, i have a problem with this notebook.
The notebook has 3 days, and i've installed only five programs:
Mozilla thunderbird, mozila firefox, google chrome, dropbox, microsoft office.
When i turn up the notebook, i can do the login with my microsoft account but the screen becomes black for 7-15 minutes, then the notebook works.
There are not external devices connected.
I've tried this solutions:
- formatting (2 times)
- install updates for windows (2 times)
- update drivers (even the video card, from windows update, from a dedicated program, from device manager; 5/6 times)
- clean start-up
- cleaning/fixing the registry
- remove battery
- use without battery
- only with battery
The notebook has no problems in the 'safe mode'.
The microsoft account has not problems on other notebooks.
What can i do?
Notebook :
Hp 15-bw038nl
AMD A9-9420
8 GB RAM
AMD RADEON R5
3 GHz
Thank you, sorry for my english!

I've talked too soon..
The app readiness is active, login is ok, but windows update does not work:
• 2017-09 Aggiornamento cumulativo per Windows 10 Version 1703 per sistemi basati su x64 (KB4038788)
• Aggiornamento delle definizioni Windows Defender – KB2267602 (definizione 1.251.1053.0)
Windows update takes a lot of minutes on 'initializing ' the updates, after WU tries to download the first one it stops on 0% after 15/20 minutes this update disappear and windows update tries the other file, but the same thing happens.
WU, restarts searching updates and so on.
I've tried to restart the notebook and active/disable/... app readiness, but it still does not work.
Can I install these updates manually? What should i do?

Hi:
Sorry that you are having problems with getting things back to normal.
See this link below and hopefully it will be of help to you.
For the cumulative update...KB4038788...You should be able to get it from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
Enter KB4038788 in the search window.

Nope, i tried to install both the updates manually, but the situation does not change , the tool reports 'copying files to WU cache' after more than 2 hours it was at the same point. I retried with WU, but it is always 0%.
I believe the problem is connected to the patch, because before i had the black screen problem but i updated without problems from windows update.
I hope they will release a working-patch soon

The only other suggestion I can offer would be to run the system restore utility and pick a restore point to a time before you made any changes to the PC.
Then you should be able to apply the first fix about changing the settings to allow for faster bootup.
