when i turn on my HP pavelion g6 , the screen stays blank, the wifi LED stays orange(does not blink ) the caps lock blinks twice in a second interval and then stops for 3 to 4 seconds and then blinks twice again . the power button light also stays on

I tried booting without the battery , i mean just straight from the Ac cord and this time the caps lock LED stays on for 3 to 4 seconds and then blink twice , goes off for 3 to 4 seconds and then blinks twice again repeatedly

Hello @Enoch_Addo

Thank you for the details description of the issue. And welcome to the HP Support Community.

There is an official article for such issues you experience now. Based on the described pattern of blinking, I can conclude this is a BIOS/UEFI issue. You need to to perform BIOS recovery to try to repair it. Here is how to do it :

use the USB pendrive method or the Win+B keys, etc

Hope this helps

Can you press and hold the power-on button for at least 5-6 seconds until the computer powers off.

Wait for a while and try to start it.

If you still experience BSOD, shut down the PC again.

Start it and immediately begin hitting F8 repeatedly until you start Windows 7 Advanced boot menu

Try starting the computer in Last Known Good Configuration (advanced)  - use the keyboard to move down to it and then hit [ENTER]

Did it start then ?
