HP 250 G6 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have power, and light but a black screen.

There's no audio beep but the cap's lock light flashes white.

The sequence is 5 long blinks followed by 3 short blinks

I cannot seem to find this sequence in the  support. Please can anyone suggest a probable cause and remedy.

Thank you

Hello @IvorTinkle .

The red light blinks five times, and then four, short white light blinks

This condition indicates the embedded controller reaches its time limit waiting for the BIOS to return from system board initialization.

  1. Remove all accessory devices from the notebook.

  2. Contact HP Customer Support if the issue persists.
