I have an HP Pavilion Laptop 15t-eg300 (Product Number 78G39AV).

I created a Windows 11 USB installation media using Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool.

I booted from the USB drive and performed a clean installation. I deleted all partitions on Disk 0 and selected the unallocated space for installation.

The installation started normally, but after the first automatic restart, the laptop shows:

“Boot Device Not Found - Hard Disk (3F0)”

HP Diagnostics reports:

SMART Check: PASSED

Short DST: PASSED

SSD is detected in BIOS and Boot Menu.

I have repeated the installation several times with the same result.

What should I check next?

You have cloud factory restore

HP is removing cloud recovery for system over 5 years old.
The actual wording is a limited time after the warranty expires
You may want to get a copy of the cloud recovery before it is too late.
Cloud recovery provides all the custom HP drivers.
Go here and enter your product ID including the 3 characters after the # character
If you have cloud recovery you can restore your system using a 64gb flash.
It may take an hour or more to create the recovery USB.
Alternately, download from the MS windows store
