Thanks. I've looked at the links that you gave me before to action what you mention above. They recommend using a blank usb so I'll need to go buy one in the morning.

Hi. I ended up having to go to a computer repair store to get the information downloaded to a USB. They were really helpful and we started to boot from the USB.
In the end they said that I had to do a factory restart as Windows wasn't working at all. I've done that now I'm going through getting my back up restored.
