@KendraHawks Welcome to HP Forums Community!

I recommend running an SFC scan on the device, here's what you need to do:

To run the SFC in Windows 10, follow these steps:

  1. Boot into your system
  2. Press the Windows key to open the Start Menu
  3. Type command prompt or cmd in the search field
  4. From the search results list, right-click on Command Prompt
  5. Select Run as Administrator
  6. Enter the password
  7. When Command Prompt loads, type the SFC command and press Enter:
    • sfc /scannow

Let me know how that pans out,

I tried "sfc/scannow", the screen says "Verification 100% complete" then "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation". Any suggestions?

I am the Echo_Lake  looks like you were interacting with @Riddle_Decipher, but he is out of the office today, so I'll take over from here.

Try these fixes: Let's run SFC in Safe Mode

  • Press Windows key and R key together to launch Run box.
  • Type msconfig in the box and hit Enter to continue.
  • Then go to Boot tab, tick on Safe boot and click OK to continue.
  • Then restart your computer to apply this change. Click Restart to continue.

Keep me posted for further assistance.
