Hi!

Two weeks ago one of my internal laptop fans stopped working which resulted in an error, stating that a fan isn't working properly (90 B). My other fan started spinning like an airplane's engine while the error was on the screen until the computed just shut down after 15 seconds.

I bought new original fans. I cleaned the air vents carefully placed the new fans in their slots. I turn on the PC, everything seems to work fine, no loud noises, until a different error occurs  stating that it has something to do with system temperature (90 D) and the fans start spinning really fast again, until the PC shuts down

The only way to start my PC up is by pressing the ESC key really fast while it is booting, access the boot options by pressing F2 and then just wait until the fans stop spinning fast, and the press "Continue startup". Unfortunately when I did that my Nvidia GeForce driver just dissapeared from the system.

I looked it up in the forums and the best suggestion was to update my bios. I tried to do it both from a USB drive and from my system and none of these solutions worked. The BIOS is not updating. It is on version 1.24.00 currently

My PC still doesn't boot normaly and i have no Graphics Driver

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

To fix this error, use the following steps:

  1. Press Enter to clear the message and allow the system to boot to the Windows Desktop.

  2. Shut down the computer, and then inspect and clean the exterior vents to remove dust buildup by blowing air through the vent openings. Dust can accumulate inside the vent openings and around internal cooling components, preventing the removal of heat.

For more information on reducing heat inside your computer, see Reducing Heat Inside the PC.

  3. After you remove the dust, turn on the computer. If the error message persists, continue with these steps.

  4. Perform a hard reset. Performing a hard reset can reset recorded thermal values in memory and enable you to use the computer again, even if only for a short time to access and save any important files before service.

For more information on performing a hard reset, see Use Hard Reset to Resolve Hardware and Software Issues.

  5. In some cases, updating the BIOS might help prevent this error from occurring.

For more information on how to update the BIOS, see Updating the BIOS.

  6. Have the computer serviced to clean internal components and replace the system fan if necessary.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
