I occasionally have an issue turning on my computer. The screen remains black, the power light will come on, the caps lock blinks 5 slow, then 3 fast white lights. It normally turns back on after a few days but I have done nothing different between the first and second time of attempting to turn it on. I have already sent it in twice to be fixed but they keep updating my OS system which "fixes" it and then sending it back, where it proceeds to have the same problem a week later. I know the error code means "The embedded controller times out waiting for the BIOS" but is there any way that I can fix that myself? Thanks in advance.

Hey There! @hgd111612,

The 5 slow and 3 fast blinks indicate a system board failure.
