After a having failed to reset the password by removing the CMOS battery and having done a bit of research I realize I need a SMC.bin file from HP support to unlock my second hand Probook 430 g3.
What would be the best way to ask for this? All it tells me on the contact page is to either call them or bring my laptop to a service center, both of which cost money since my laptop is out of warranty. Can I not just send an email or message somewhere? There's no way I'm bringing it to an actual service center and they wont be able to send me the file over phone, so I'm gonna need to contact them through the web anyway...
