Can't Boot. Getting error message: Failure ID me5b88-88ka6v-xd7x7g-60t503 Product ID xoh80ua#aba

 

Can't Boot. Got into HDD diagnostic and got above message. I suspect this is causing my inability to boot.

 

Does anyone what this means and what can I do to be able to boo again

Hi:

 

The error code reported, Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure, means the hard drive has failed, and a new one needs to be installed.

 

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

After you replace the hard drive, your PC should be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool, which by using another Windows PC with W7 64 bit or newer and a 32 GB USB flash drive, you can make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.
