Pavilion TouchSmart 11-e010nr

Pavilion TouchSmart 11-e010nr Notebook PC
E2S18UA#ABA

Laptop is bricked with no OS, no recovery partitions, and no BIOS. When booted the screen is blank and caplock blinks twice confirming BIOS error as per HP documentation

Went to product page http://support.hp.com/lamerica_nsc_carib-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-11-Notebook-PC-series/53... and downloaded BIOS recovery file to generate HP_TOOLS USB with BIOS image. Performed Win+B boot for BIOS recovery but receive the error "BIOS image file specified did not pass validation". Downloaded several "previous versions" of BIOS available on support site but still receive the same error.

Accessed USB on functional Windows machine and found the following in "\Hewlett-Packard\BIOSUpdate\HpBiosUpdate.log"

10/07/16 09:15:46  EFI HP BIOS Update 3.1.3.0 Started

Is there a SIG file that I can get that will pass the security validation? I am currently dead in the water with no other options. As mentioned earlier I downloaded several EXEs to install older versions of the BIOS as well but I always receive the same error. I've neven tried using the 3-in-1 recovery USB but it looks like it's still creating the same 02178.bin, 02178.s12, and 02178.sig file in "\Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\Current\" and I get the same result.

At this point I just want any BIOS so I can boot from a live CD or anything so that I can have a functional machine. Please help!

HI @plotrcoptr,

I grasp that you do not have an OS installed or a recovery partition intact. When you boot your notebook you get two beeps which indicates a BIOS issue. You have tried to recover your BIOS to no avail. Here is a link to HP Notebook PCs - Restoring the BIOS that should help you to overcome this difficulty.  Please let me know the outcome.
