Hi
I bought a new HP Stream Notebook from Argos this week. I'v set up my Live account but when the notebook locked, it won't allow me to log back on. I have tried changing the password etc but stil it won't accept any password. Obviously, I'm now locked out of my new notebook. Microsoft can't help, are there any other ways around it? Thanks

Hi,
In that case, the easiest option would be to reset the notebook to its 'Factory Condition' and then set it up again from the beginning – if you haven't created your Recovery Media yet, the notebook will have shipped with a Recovery Partition which can be accessed at boot - ie shutdown the notebook, then start tapping away at f11 as soon as you power on.

Hi,
It may be worth trying the following to rule out a possible error with the keyboard input configuration.
At the log on screen, click the Ease Of Access icon in the bottom right corner, select On-Screen Keyboard and try entering your password using this.
