Hi I have an HP Envy 17-ae151nr, Windows 10 (64-bit). HP Support Assistant gave an update labeled as HP Firmware Pack (Intel Processors) which it flagged as IMPORTANT and that action needed to be taken. After the update, which turned out to be a BIOS update, I cannot login to my computer using my pin and Windows Hello (facial recognition), I can only login using my Microsoft password. Can someone please help!!!

Hey there! @SsK22,
Are you able to login to the account using the regular windows password?
Have you tried checking with the on-screen keyboard?
Please try the steps recommended below.
Try updating the BIOS and HP TrueVision Full HD (FHD) RGB-IR Webcam Driver to the latest version and check it helps.
Update the BIOS using this link. Click Here
Update the HP TrueVision Full HD (FHD) RGB-IR Webcam Driver using this link. Click Here
Use on-screen keyboard
If your PIN is not working on Windows 10, you might be able to fix the problem by using on-screen keyboard. On the login screen there’s a virtual keyboard button that you can use to activate the on-screen keyboard. After doing that, use the virtual keyboard to enter your PIN. This is a simple workaround, but few users reported that it works, so feel free to try this solution out.
Press and hold the Shift key from the Keyboard and click on the Power button.
Click on Restart and try to enter the Safe mode.
Kindly try to start your computer in Safe mode from the Windows Recovery Environment.
Once you have entered into the Safe mode then, open Command Prompt and enable Built-in Administrator.
Follow the below steps to enable Built-in Administrator:
Open Command Prompt from Windows Recovery Environment.
Copy and paste the below command and press Enter.
net user administrator /active:yes
Close the Command Prompt.
Try to log into Built-in Administrator and change the earlier password or you can create a new user account.

Let me know if this works!
Have a great day! 🙂
