Hello, i tried to install a new os but something went wrong, now it says :

Checking media

Checking media [failed}

And it says something about boot failed.

And i cant get into the BIOS Menu.

How can i fix this or do i need to bring it to a repair point?

Hi,

Seems like your rig is not detecting your hard drive.. Can you follow the steps here? https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04718479

Most importantly follow the DIAGNOSTICS..

I know it doesnt detect it,  windows  said that it needed to be deleted to make space, but the setup canceled halfway due to the lack of space, since then i got that message

Hi,

Youve mentioned that you are trying to install an OS on your first post right?

May I ask whats the reason?

What kind of installer are tying to use? A disk? Flash drive? Recovery drive maybe?

See your "duplicate" question:

  https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Boot-and-Lockup/Checking-media/m-p/6302816/

for how to run the HP Hardware Diagnostics -- instead of entering BIOS SETUP.
