Hi guys,
I brought this laptop in 2012 and since then it worked excellently and served me well. It's gone through window 8 to window 10 to window 7. The laptop recently a few weeks ago refused to start up. It does turn on, the batteries ok but shows a black screen. The cap locks key is blinking and nothing occurs when booted. So i researched around and discovered it may well be a BIOS FAILURE that needs updating or recovering. So i did further research and found that the Window+B key should be the option to recover the BIOS. However it worked once almost except it froze early in the recovery stage and stayed like that for so long that i decided to shut down the computer. AND SINCE THEN i cant get back to the recovery BIOS page with Window+B key or using esc and f10. It's a shame because i know the warranty expired 5 years ago but i cant let a good laptop go to waste.
I really need help on the laptop or can someone from HP offer to help because this BIOS issue has bricked the whole laptop and that isnt good considering i need a laptop for on the move. If i cant fix it, i'll be left with the option to selling it on eBay or a similar selling website 😕
Any help would be seriously appreciated, thank you guys!

Unfortunately, if there was a possibility to recover the BIOS using Win + B, shutting it down just defeated that option. It sounds like it may not have been working anyway if it stayed on the screen for much over an hour. Now, the only option would be replacing the motherboard and IF you could even find one it may cost more than purchasing a new laptop. Selling it for parts on a sales site may get you some money toward a new one.
