HP Recommended
Envy C360

An update started last night. My computer is still buffering. It’s been 12 hours. I tried ctrl-alt-del snd holding down power button with no success

@Netti1977

I wish I had good news for you, but I do not!

In order to get the PC back, you would have to power it off -- and if you do that before the update is done, that will corrupt the OS and prevent it from rebooting.  But if you don't do that, it is going to sit like that indefinitely.

Pulling the plug probably won't be enough to power it down if the battery has a decent charge, so you would have to hold down the power button for some time -- 15 seconds or longer -- to have it shut down.

Then try turning it back on.  It might be able to repair itself.
