This morning my laptop's power button was blinking. I plugged in the power adapter (indicator light was orange) and as soon as I did I heard a crackling and smoke came out of the vents. It then would not turn on and the power indicator light was not on. The laptop had shut down twice in the past month due to over heating. I updated drivers. Last night it shut off down a Zoom meeting but was not hot. It turned on and I did some work and shut it down. I did have an audio interface plugged in the USB but it was powered off.
Any ideas? Plus I can't find a number to talk to someone as HP. My warranty expired two months ago. I use the laptop for telehealth, documents, internet usage and recording and editing a podcast.
