HP OMEN 15-EK0042TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I recently bought HP OMEN 15 EK series laptop. I am planning to install Ubuntu 20.04 on my external SSD. I would like to disable internal SSD, to avoid any MBR overwrite on internal SSD. Can any one please help me with the steps that I can follow to disable internal SSD from the BIOS, as I don't want risk opening a brand new laptop and disconnect the hard disk.

Thanks

Phani

Know of no way to do what you want to do -- disable built-in SSD from the BIOS.

Additionally, HP does not provide Linux support -- so for this issue, you would need to contact the support forum for the Linux distro that you are planning to install.
