HP Pavilion 15-n259tx Notebook
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I wrongly updated my-

HP Pavilion 15-n259tx Notebook PC with wrong BIOS which does not match with my System Board ID. Now I downloaded all BIOS for my hp laptop but none matches with my system board ID what should I do now? Kindly Help. Thank you in advance!

Note: My system Board ID is 2164. And various BIOS are showing as  - 021DD.bin, 02161.bin, 02165.bin, 02183.bin.

Kindly tell me now which bios should I update again which will be best for my system board ID.

Those filenames don't tell me anything useful.

The HP product page for your PC lists three BIOS updates:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-15-n200-notebook-pc-series/6529948/mode...

Personally, I would go with the latest one: F.71 Rev A Mar24, 2017.

Good Luck

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

Sorry, but I don't have very good news for you ...

Loading the wrong BIOS was a very serious mistake -- and one that simply might not be recoverable with consumer tools.

You can try following this procedure to reset the BIOS:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-h8-1534-Desktop-PC/5330773/model/5331403/document/c04126...

But if that does not work, then you're looking at an expensive proposition of taking the laptop to an HP Service Center and paying them to flash the BIOS manually.

Here is information on the Service Centers:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00372730?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0004

Good Luck
