HP Pavilion g6-1070ss Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I need to update the bios of my Pavilion g6-1070ss to can use Windows 10 in ssd with gpt, I am looking for information about this model for download and update the BIOS but I can't find any about this noteboot, I find this information for other g6 model but not exist or not is available for gs-1070ss model https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/hp-pavilion-g6-not-showing-leg...

The computer's support software never notified me of a new BIOS version, nor did I find a way to update it. It only appears in "HP Support Assistant" as "System BIOS F.66." It also never notified me of software updates in all this time and I have found it impossible to find on the HP website where to find files for the BIOS or drivers now that I have to upgrade since there is no other option due to the lack of Windows 7 support.

Please can tell me how you found the bios to update it? The actual version if F.66,

Thanks in advance

Your PC does not support booting from a GPT-formatted disk.  MBR only.

It appears that HP has retired support for your PC since it is more than 10 years old.

That's why you can't find any drivers for it on the HP support site.

We are currently not allowed to post links to third party driver sites.

However, I don't see anything improper with letting you know that the DriversCollection.com website has the drivers for your PC.

I use the site all the time and the drivers are legitimate and virus free.

Just do a search 'g6-1070ss driverscollection' and you will be able to find the drivers HP used to supply,

I actually found an active driver support page for the base model g6-1000 model series.

HP Pavilion g6-1000 Notebook PC series Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

The support page confirms that F.66 was the last BIOS update HP released for the g6-1xxx notebook with Intel processors.

The support page also has the HP UEFI Support Environment version 5.2.5.0 software available.
