HP Envy Notebook 15-AS027CL
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Not sure how this happened since the power-on password was never set.

I have a HP Envy 15-as027cl notebook that my daughter was using in college until she got locked out. I’ve tried everything I could think of to no avail attempting to unlock this laptop.

  • Removed the COMS and disconnected the system battery left set for 3 hours.
  • Download a new BIOS from HP and re-flash the BIOS using the Windows & B keys
  • Tried several python scripts (pwgen-hpmini.py, pwgen-insyde.py) using my disable code.
  • Tried the https://bios.pw.org web site.
  • Took in to a computer repair shop, was charged $80 still not fix, they claimed it was the mothercard.

Nothing I’ve tried worked, so right now I’ve got a very expensive paperweight.

  • Her System Disabled code is: [i 85871936]

Any help with the password code would be greatly appreciated

Kindest Regards,

Ron Patterson
