Hello,
I have a HP 15 notebook, model number 15-r218ns and its screen is broken. I am working with an external monitor, but now I need to get into de BIOS. When I try to enter the BIOS (restarting and pressing F10 or ESC) the external monitor get blank, it looks that it doesn't detect the external monitor.
How do I do it?
Thank you,
David

Sorry, but you can't use an external screen for this because it will not work until the Windows drivers are loaded for it, and that does not happen when you are booting into the BIOS.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP

Thank you @WAWood.
I read that some laptops use the external monitor when they detect that the screen is not opened, so using a external keyboard and leaving the screen closed I would be possible, but I can't make it work in this model. Do you thing that this solution can't be applied to this model?
Thank you,
