HP Envy 15t-dr100
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Stepped away from my laptop and came back to blank screen with ""Boot Device Not Found" error.

I have tried Windows+B and Windows+V and holding power for 11 seconds and even created a BIOS update and installed that, but still getting the error. Hard Drive test was finding no HD, but now after updating BIOS the system doesn't even list the Hard Drive in the F2 diagnostics menu.

I also see some 0502 errors in the diagnostic logs.

I am running Windows 10.

Sounds like you have to replace it HDD. But please use the following Official Guide first:

Thanks. I have tried all of the items on that web page. My computer is not finding a hard drive at all. I confirmed that I have an Octane SSD. I'm assuming I need to purchase a replacement? Seems easy to swap out, but will I have to do any BIOS config to make it work? How similar should the new drive be?

Also, if I replace the SSD, can I reinstall windows somehow without purchasing a new license? I don't think I have any media from HP when I purchased this laptop.

I replaced the SSD with the same model but I'm still getting "HD not found". I even reinstalled the BIOS again but no luck. So is this still potentially something I can fix or am I toast?
