Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I did a backup factory reset on my laptop, when my laptop had rest my background image that i previously had showed up but all my pictures were deleted. I was told all i had to do was login to Microsoft with recovery email and my photos would be restored but that was not the case.

@AngelAniu

I really wish folks would STOP doing factory resets as if they were Miracle Cures for anything that ails a PC.

Had you come here BEFORE doing this, I would have warned you against it because that reset reformats the entire hard drive, removing everything on it.

What you were told was true in only ONE circumstance -- if you had synced all of your personal files with OneDrive -- which I'm guessing you did not do, right?
