Fingerprint login has disappeared

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had fingerprint login set up in Windows Hello and working well. suddenly it is not offered, only pin log in. How can I get fingerprint login working again.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?
  • Did you make any changes on the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
  • When was the last time it worked fine?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps: To recover from this issue, perform the following steps:

  1. Select Start.
  2. Select the Settings icon.
  3. Select Accounts.
  4. Select Sign-In options.
  5. Select Change PIN .
  6. Restart the computer.
  7. The Windows Hello sign-in options are restored.
