Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000 (2V8Z7AV)

Hello,

i noticed there is an UEFI update for my victus e00047nl (amd 5800h and nvidia 3060)

i'm running on F.14 and is available F.15, also win 11 that is up-to-date.

I downloaded the file, the setup loads correctly, i follow what's on screen and then the setup windows just disappear.

I tried to execute the exe file C:\SWSetup\SP142549\088EBF15.EXE but once again nothing comes up on the screen and nothing seems to happens.

tried also the whole process giving admin permission.

After restaring the uefi is not updating nor is update.

Any hints?

I contacted hp support, the information was sent to the engineering department, we handled it together and agreed that it was an internal problem related to the firmware. I will be kept informed next week.

Any update about this problem? I have the same issue in my HP Victus 16-e0000. I tried to update the BIOS version from F.12 to the new F.15 version but when launch sp142549.exe from W11 nothing happens. Whats the workaround?

I'm coming back to you following my exchange with HP support, a new update will be deployed in 3 months, in order to avoid creating a conflict with the existing one. For your information, the engineering department informs us that the current update has no real impact on performance, it is "optional" say. For people who still want to perform this update, you can flash the iso recovery tool to completely format the PC and trigger the update. I prefer to wait to avoid losing data.

Best regards
